The 2020-2021 AAST Annual Report is now available!

AAST Affiliate Faculty, Dr. Cixin Wang co-facilitated a workshop on suicide prevention along with Dr. Nikita Rodrigues and Mazneen Havewala, UMD Counseling, Higher Education and Special Education graduate student.

On June 15, 2021, Professor Janelle Wong is featured in an NBC News article titled, “Viral images show people of color as anti-Asian perpetrators. That misses the big picture”.

For this semester-long project, students selected an Asian American figure (e.g., civil leader, community organizer, artist, actress/actor, musician, athlete, poet, academic scholar, etc.) who has made a significant contribution to promoting the wellness of the Asian American and/or Asian immigrant communities in the United States.

Join the School of Public Health and campus partners for a conversation on confronting anti-Asian rhetoric and violence and discussing how we can support our Asian and Asian American colleagues, neighbors and community members.
